We make knives to be used. Each blade is individually shaped, heat treated, ground, finished, and fitted by hand. From the steel and edge geometry to the handle material and final fit, every decision is made to create a knife that cuts well, feels right in the hand, and is built for years of use.

MATERIALS WITH CHARACTER
No two knives need to look alike. I use figured hardwoods, stabilized woods, composites, laminates, and other durable handle materials selected for both appearance and performance. Natural variation means even knives built from the same design develop a character of their own.
FROM STEEL TO KNIFE
Most Blast Forge knives begin with AEB-L stainless blade steel. The profile is cut and refined, pin holes are drilled, and the blade is heat treated in-house. After heat treatment comes final grinding, hand finishing, handle fitting and shaping, sharpening, and inspection.
The result isn't a factory knife with a handmade appearance. It's a knife built individually from steel stock to finished tool.
